The FURY picked up their third consecutive PDL victory last night in Providence, Rhode Island when they defeated the Stingrays 4-1 in PDL play. The win takes the FURY to 3-2-0 on the season and sets up a crucial match with the Cape Cod Crusaders on Sunday on the Cape.The FURY took a three goal advantage into the half-time break after Ladi Bushiri put the Fury ahead form the penalty spot in the 18th minute and Paul Kihara and Matt Pecheone added to the lead in the 36th and 45th minutes. Jeffrey Gonzalves hit back for the Stingrays three minutes after the break but Kenny Caceros restored the FURY’s three goal cushion in the 76th minute.
The FURY record improved to 3-2-0 while the Stingrays fell to 0-6-3. The Fury were outshot by the Stingrays 14 to 12.
